Growing the courage to challenge — through play.
A Japanese-run soccer school in Sydney, open to children from age 3. Every “I did it!” builds the confidence and courage to take on the next challenge.

Does this sound familiar?
“I want my child to start soccer, but will they really be okay?”
“I wish they’d play with more confidence.”
“I want them to take on challenges without fearing failure.”
“They love soccer, but hold back once the match starts.”
“Will just learning technique really help them grow?”
It’s okay. Every child grows at their own pace.
They don’t need to be good at it from the start.
What matters is stacking up small moments of success — from wanting to try, to actually doing it.
Each success builds confidence, and that confidence leads to the next challenge.
At PFC, we value the process of a child’s challenge as much as the result.
SOLUTION
“I did it!” creates the next challenge.
At PFC Soccer Academy, we don’t just teach soccer skills.
PLAY FUTURE CHALLENGE
is at the core of it all.
Notice for yourself.
Think for yourself.
Challenge for yourself.
We nurture this power through soccer.
Rather than handing children every answer, we create an environment where they think, decide, and act for themselves.
WHY PFC
Three Reasons Families Choose Us
1
Develops the power to notice, think, and act for yourself
2
Turn “I like it!” into “I’m good at it!” through real success experiences
3
20 years of coaching experience across Japan and Australia supporting your child’s growth
01
Why I started PFC
Across two countries, Japan and Australia, I’ve watched children grow. Teaching technique alone doesn’t build real confidence. I wanted to create a place where kids could notice, think, and challenge themselves. That’s why I founded PFC Soccer Academy in 2025.
02
Why we value success experiences
I’ve been through plenty of setbacks myself — which is exactly why I understand this: the moment of “I did it!” is what changes a child. Real confidence only grows by stacking up small successes. That’s why we fully embrace process over results, and challenge over failure.
03
What kind of children we hope to raise
I’m not trying to raise kids who are just good at soccer. I want to raise children who think for themselves, decide for themselves, and move forward on their own two feet — kids who can take on the future. That’s my commitment as a coach.
VOICES
Voices from Parents
“Coach Takao has a genuine gift for naturally switching on kids’ motivation and their desire to ‘get even better.’ As a parent, the difference between teaching and coaching really struck me — it was eye-opening. A coach who can do this is truly rare. He’s always upbeat and gives everything to every session. A coach we truly trust!!”
“Thanks to Coach Takao’s motto of ‘let’s enjoy soccer together,’ there’s always laughter. Watched over by a coach he loves, my son plays freely, has grown in confidence, and is more into soccer than ever. Beyond technique, I feel he’s also nurturing kindness and a positive attitude among teammates in every lesson. The online lesson we recently joined also held the kids’ attention the whole way through. He’s a wonderful coach who genuinely cares about each child individually — as a parent, that means everything. Thank you, and we look forward to continuing with you.”
“Coach Takao was our sons’ very first coach, and through him they learned not just the joy of soccer but the discipline it takes to stick with it and the value of teamwork. That early spirit became their driving force — now 19 and 16, they’re still playing soccer in the NPL. He supported them through the times when continuing felt hard, and in recent years has taught us so much about broadening a coach’s perspective and how to communicate with and watch over kids. We’re truly grateful for everything soccer has taught us through him.”
